Overview

This course is designed to help residency programs embed Reach Out and Read in resident education, training and scholarly activities.

We'll give you resources to help you:

Add ROR to an orientation in the beginning of residency.
Add ROR as an individual topic or merge with a topic being covered in a didactic and practical session every 12 – 18 months.
Review and discuss the meaningful impacts that ROR can have on children and families and how this can be incorporated into resident continuity clinics.
Recommend research and QI topics for residency projects.

Certification

This Enduring Material activity, Residency Program Training Guide, has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 0.25 Prescribed credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Term of approval begins 04/30/2025. Term of approval is for one year from this date. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
