Overview

The brain is often compared to an air traffic control system at a busy airport. The primary function of this system is to safely manage the arrivals and departures of many aircrafts on multiple runways. Similarly, the brain needs this skill set to filter, prioritize and control multiple mental processes successfully.\n

Certification

This Enduring Material activity, Building Executive Functioning, has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 0.50 Prescribed credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Term of approval begins 04/30/2025. Term of approval is for one year from this date. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.\n
